Welcome!

What to expect from the TXPS Website

Written by Wes Tolleson

Hello! Welcome to the newly created TXPS website. Everyone go thank Ryan on twitter (@RyanSchroeder25) for getting this thing up and running. As a quick introduction, I am Wes Tolleson, one of the founders and hosts of the show, more widely known as the guy who picked against your favorite team:

I often wonder how Mustangs882 is faring. Anyways, we have big plans for the website. One of its main uses is going to be blog posts such as this one. We really want to ramp up content this year, and that is going to include blogs, rankings, discussions, etc on this website. We have constantly reiterated that we want to build up this community and connect everyone in it, and we think we can accomplish that with this platform.

This is not going to take away from the podcast or any of our normal content at all. We are gradually trying to expand because although “podcast” is in our name, that doesn’t come close to describing everything that we do (The weekly show isn’t even really a podcast, Walker puts so much work into graphics and producing it that it’s essentially a full blown webseries). At this point we are a multimedia entity, and we plan on developing into that. So if you see us referred to as TXPS media, or something along those lines, don’t panic. The “podcast” isn’t going anywhere, and will still be our main focus throughout the year (outside of the awards show but that’s a completely different animal).

That being said, I am so dang excited to put this website to use. I love writing and interacting with people via written media, and I’m probably going to be insufferable on this thing for the next several months. You should see some district/ division previews coming up here soon, as well as a potential history lesson in how ridiculous it was playing against TCCH in TAPPS…

So now that you know what to expect, don’t be surprised when I make some asinine pick on here and you get to clown me for it in October.

See y’all in the fall!

  1. I’m beginning a petition that TAPPS 1A teams should be covered more by the podcast crew. It is the best division in TAPPS.
